About Peloponnese

The Peloponnese is a peninsula located at the southern tip of the mainland and constitutes the southernmost part of mainland Greece. It is connected to the mainland by the Isthmus of Corinth, where the Corinth Canal was constructed in 1893.

The Peloponnese is also connected to the mainland by several bridges across the canal, including two submersible bridges at the north and the south end.

Near the northern tip of the peninsula, there is another bridge, the Rio–Antirrio bridge which was completed in 2004.

The Peloponnese is rarely, if ever, referred to as an island.

You will find so much to see and do in the Peloponnese, click here to find out what activities you can look forward too.

Peloponnese holidays are fantastic no matter what time of year and can be easily accessed either by a direct flight (in summer) or via Athens Airport (both summer and winter).
