About Mainland Greece

Around 30 million tourists visit Greece every year and whilst many visitors head for the islands, mainland Greece is a destination not to be missed.

The country is so diverse and exotic with historical sites, mountains and some of the most beautiful white sandy beaches in Europe. There are some amazing activities in Greece are on the mainland.

If you want to learn about Greek history and myths you can’t go wrong with a visit to Athens where the Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill dominate the skyline.

The new Athens museum is built over ancient ruins and has a glass floor so you can see the ancient houses below. Part of the famous Parthenon marbles are housed here as well as a huge array of other antiquities.
