Our Hotel offers a room with breakfast, wide views of the sea, mountains and olive groves and is located close to the mountain village of Kroustas. A still authentic, very charming and culinary village, with (at least) three very good restaurants.
The Panorama Room
A double bedroom at the entrance level suitable for people with special needs.
This room is situated at the entrance level. It has a small balcony and a shared big terrace. From inside the room there are panoramic views.
The Mirambello and Kroustas Room
Two double bedrooms. With their own terrace and a beautiful view over the Bay of Mirambello and the mountains.
These rooms are located a lower floor through a staircase. They are located in a very quit place and they have a big terrace with spectacular views.
The Kritsa Suite.
Two bedrooms in one suite. This suite is ideal for a family with 2 children and possibly a baby in a cot, or a couple of friends. The suite can accommodate up to 4 people.
The two rooms are very quiet on the ground floor (accessible by one staircase). The room on the sea side has two single beds and the smaller room on the mountain side has one double bed. Each room has a private terrace with stunning views over the sea and mountains. The rooms share a hall and a bathroom (each with its own entrance).
Breakfast is served with a unique view.
From 8am to 10am, €13 per person.
Bread, coffee, tea, eggs, Cretan cheese, ham, yogurt, cereals, honey, fruit, homemade jam, fresh orange juice.
Hotel Villa Dio Petres is cooled and heated in an innovative way by geothermal means. This means that there is no need for noisy air conditioning in the rooms. The coolness (and in winter the heat) comes ‘silently’ through the floor and the ceiling. In the basement there are pumps that extract the coolness/heat from the ground. On hot days the system is supported by a heat pump on the roof. There are also solar panels on the roof for the hot water.

Villa Dio Petres Hotel in Crete is located in a quiet part of Crete, near to the mountain village of Kroustas.
Kroustas is only a 300 meter walk from Villa Dio Petres.
However small Kroustas is, there are plenty of taverns and very good restaurants. Since mid-2021, a special quality restaurant has even been added. It’s called Xatheri and that’s a Cretan word for exquisite. It has become so popular that you have to make reservations for dinner in the evening!
Kroustas borders a large Natura 2000 area. The beautiful green coastline with beautiful beaches is a 15-minute drive away from our hotel in Crete. For hikers there is the favorite gorge of Kritsa and we have a series of hiking trails available digitally, varying in duration from 1 to 3 hours.
It is easy to find Villa Dio Petres: on the way from Kritsa to Kroustas, 200 meter before Kroustas, at the left side of the road.
